SAM group membership (Nodes and Applications)

Im looking for an easy way to add both Nodes and the applications on those nodes to a group.

We have several customer properties that I can use to add the Nodes via dynamic query but this doesn't add the applications that are on those nodes to the group, am i missing something ?
