Will the Agent let me avoid using WinRM?

I have some PowerShell templates that I would like to use in SAM; however, I would like to avoid using WinRM if possible.  Does using the Orion Agent allow you to avoid using WinRM and run the PowerShell commands locally on the system the agent is running on?

This is generally one of the benefits of an agent so I figured I would ask.
