Can SAM parse XML output from a web site?

Can SAM parse XML output from a web site?

Here is an overview of what I am trying to do.

1. Log into a web site

2. The web site returns XML output

3. Parse the XML output for certain text and if that text is not there then trigger an alert.

(I checked and found that WPM cannot parse XML output).

I've read several forums discussions about this and there doesn't seem to be a straight forward way to do this. (though I could be wrong about this).
