We are currently running some SQL 2012 / 2014 servers, and we are using the Availability Group Listener. I setup AppInsight for SQL on the 3 servers that are we are doing this on, and we get data on most of the items. With the AGL, one server has the active database, and the other 2 are just copies. The copies come up gray / unknown, and you get the attached error.
From talking with our DBA, is it possible to use the application intent setting with AppInsight for SQL? We would need to change the connection string to include ApplicationIntent=ReadOnly. Curious if anyone else has been able to do this or whether it is something we can even do? I am not a DBA, so bear with me if you have any real technical questions, as I would need to talk with one of my DBAs.
