Using Citrix Provisioning server I have a few different "gold images" that service a number of provisioned/cloned (clone) servers.
Installing it on a normal server was easy and had no problems.
I installed the agent on the gold image, and reboot like I have done with the normal servers. I then shut it down and provisioned it out.
The clone server came up (within SolarWinds) as the name of the gold image server. I removed that gold server from the "manage agents" page. Now I can't seem to get the clone server to be recognized. SolarWinds will identify that an agent is installed on the clone server and wants to try and re-install on to it. I let it do that, and then after rebooting the clone server it will resort back to it's default image.
Obviously there is some sort of identifier indicating the server name. What is it and where? And can I delete it before I finish with the "gold image" so that when the clones boot from that image SolarWinds will take the name of the server that it's booting from?
