Performance Monitor Problems

I currently have two Exchange 2003 servers running on Server 2003 (yes, I know - they're on the way out) being monitored in SAM.  One of them has no issues with polling, and the other is unable to get any information from any of the performance monitors, Exchange related or not.  I get the error "HResult: No data to return. Error: Unable to connect to the specified computer, or the computer is offline.".  I've tried restarting the WMI service on that server with no change.  I've also used WMI Explorer and I am able to view the Performance Monitor info from the SAM server. 

 

My question is, how can I find out what WMI query SAM is actually executing against the node so I can verify I can verify I'm looking in the right place?  I'll at least be able to narrow down the problem with that, because right now... it makes no sense to me.
