I am trying to monitor multiple individual java processes on a server. My question is: Do I need to create a separate listening port (-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=PORT_NUM") for each java process? OR would I be better off to go through SNMP and would that capture every process? I have been trying to read through the documentation but I have not been able to determine what my best course of action would be. I would greatly appreciate any assistance anyone can provide and thanks for taking the time to read my question.
