We have been using SAM in a limited capacity. Monitoring url's, some log file monitoring and monitoring UNIX boxes that our current server solution (Gomez / Compuware Server Monitoring) is unable to.
I want to go full bore with SAM as our server monitoring solution. I can sell management on how much better SAM is from a reporting and administration stand point. I also, personally, think it is better to monitor via SNMP v3 than rely on an installed agent to report back as we have to with our current solution. Agents that stop for absolutely no reason on a regular basis.
Have any of my Thwack friends moved from Compuware to SAM and if so, what were your selling points.
