Application monitor added to a view

I'm looking for a way to add the nodes in an application monitor to a view.   I have added 6 servers to VMware 5.5 template and want to add them to my default view.    What is the best way to accomplish this?   I looked at the canned resources in customize view and don't see a way to do this.
