We are dipping into moving monitoring of our virtual environment from VCOP's and our server monitoring from Compuware Server Monitoring to SAM.
Our Cloud team is interested in Virtualization Manager, but I need to be able to concisely explain to our management team the advantages of Virtualization Manger over what we would get in just the Virtualization tab of SAM or NPM?
Anybody have some experience monitoring their virtual environment either in SAM or VM?
And any suggestions on sizing SAM for this? Approximately 3200 Servers, we already have sized VM at 250 Sockets.
I was thinking, based on how we have sized NPM, SAM plus 2 pollers plus the 320 socket VM.
