1.) I have both WMI and SNMP component monitors running within two different templates that monitor for the presence of 'Netlogon' (one for a simple windows monitor, and the other for AD)
2.) Works fine for Windows 2008 Domain Controllers, but NOT for Windows 2003 Domain Controllers.
3.) The SNMP version is for monitoring Active Directory information, which includes other components that report just fine, but the 'Netlogon' does not work (along with a few others shown in attachment).
I've verified that Netlogon is running on those Windows 2003 instances, Orion still reports it can't 'see' them, regardless if using WMI or SNMP component monitors, and reports 'Service is stopped or disabled or is not installed on the target machine. Service 'Netlogon' is not found'.
I've done a compare of services and processes on both 2003 and 2008 and couldn't find anything of significant difference, what am I missing?not wmi
