Hoping someone can assist.
I have two servers both (Domain Controllers) that both have the same IP address and name / essentially a clone of each other.
Essentially one server is a physical server (acting as a PDC) the other is a VM that sits on a separate VLAN in a Pre-Production environment on an ESX host.
The VM server is sitting in a Sand boxed Pre-production environment completely separated from the Production environment at a network level.
The ESX hosts though do have a number of Production VM's so are polled during Discovery.
Issue i'm having is that I need SolarWinds monitoring on the Production Domain Controller that is a physical server.
After adding the Node to Monitoring everything is fine, though once discovery runs over our environment and poll's the ESX hosts for VM details, the Details of the Virtual Server over write the details of the Previously added Physical Server.
Is there a way to exclude discovery of a single VM on a particular ESX host or any other way to avoid the newly discovered VM details from over riding previously discovered nodes details?
