Im trying to identify the root cause of sluggish performance on my SQL server (2008 R2). I'm receiving some confusing information from solarwinds.
As you can see in the attached screenshot,nothing is flagged (except a fragmentation alert), yet the average response time across all of these test is 5000+ms.
This is concerning as no alerts are triggered. Some of these test do state anything over 500ms indicates a problem, but not all.
Can someone help me understand whats going on here? My suspicions are disk saturation or memory contention.
This is SQL 2008 R2 running on a 2008 R2 VM. The storage is an Equalogic SAN array using 7200 rpm SATA drives.
