I was directed to change the name of my SolarWinds server. So I did. Of course, just about everything broke. However, I was able to re-run the Configuration Wizard, for all 3 components (Web, DB, Services) and once that completed, just about everything seemed to start working again.
But not really. I am still seeing all kinds of references to the old server, most notably in that every existing device is still using the old server as the "Polling Engine". According to the Polling Engine page, most all my devices are still pointing to the old server name. And it is apparently not just devices, but for each application on each device. When I go to change the polling enginre, it tells me that I still have almost 500 objects assigned to the old server name.
How can I make global changes to all my devices? And preferably, remove even the reference to the old server name?
